Transdisciplinary Understanding and Training on Research – Primary Health Care (TUTOR-PHC) is a one-year, pan-Canadian interdisciplinary research capacity building program that has been training primary and integrated health care researchers and decision-makers from family medicine, nursing, psychology, epidemiology, social work, education, policy and many other disciplines since 2003. This is a well-run and high quality program. The next application deadline is November 2, 2015 (program runs from May 2016 to April 2017). TRANSFORMATION would be pleased to support a graduate student to apply (with a Team member as their supervisor) to the PHC-TUTOR program if they are studying something relevant to the core work of the Team: improving the science and reporting of performance measurement in primary care. We could support them by: having a small group conduct a peer review to make the proposal stronger, offering the infrastructure of this network to assist the student in getting their proposed work done (e.g., TRANSFORMATION student group to learn from each other, assisting in recruiting participants through posting on our website, etc).
