Study 3

Reporting priority dimensions of primary health care system performance to key stakeholder groups

Study 3 will identify the best methods for reporting the results of primary health care performance to different groups of stakeholders: providers, patients, and decision makers.

Deliberative dialogue

Team

Julia Abelson and Sharon Johnston.

Purpose

To identify primary health care measurement, priorities of reporting, and best practice for reporting results to different audiences in each study location using deliberative dialogues.

Overview

Deliberative dialogues are used to allow individuals with different backgrounds, interests and values to listen and understand, which will help tailor policies to specific contexts and guide decision making. Four groups of 15-20 participants will engage in deliberative dialogues for each study location. Participants will include patients with complex health needs, for example, people with multiple chronic conditions, low-use/healthy patients, decision-makers, and providers from each location.
